This little stunner, with its beautiful, sparkling coat seemed to glow through the photograph. I knew immediately that this pair needed larimar, a very rare stone mined only in the Dominican Republic, with its dreamy, romantic shades of white and blues, reminiscent of the Caribbean ocean.

  I used top quality larimar, faceted for a bit of shine. These briolettes are large, with an amazing, even blend of blues and white. If you know about larimar, you’ll know they’re extremely hard to find in this quality.

 

Pairing it with two types of golden rutile briolette, with its fine golden needles darting through each stone, one faceted for shine, and the others smooth, for texture and interest. I felt it also needed the glow of rainbow moonstone. 

 

I didn't appreciate larimar before I purchased these recently in September, but now, I can't take my eyes off the calming and dreaminess of these precious stones.
